Popular Knowledge On Preventing Breast Hyperplasia

2026-1-27

Breast hyperplasia is a common clinical disease, mainly manifested in female patients aged 30-50 years old, who belong to benign breast diseases. As a nurse in the breast surgery department of a provincial-level tertiary hospital, I have accumulated certain experience in clinical nursing of breast disease patients, especially in science popularization and education. I would like to share the following:

1. What is breast hyperplasia?

Normal adult women's breasts have a soft touch, with a fuzzy granular sensation upon deep touch, but the overall texture is uniform and consistent, without any foreign body sensation such as lumps or lumps. Breast hyperplasia, explained in professional medical terms, refers to the dilation of the ducts at the end of the breast, the continuous proliferation of breast epithelium or fibrous tissue, resulting in breast fibrosis, breast lumps, breast swelling and pain, and other manifestations.

2、 Symptoms of breast hyperplasia?

1. Breast pain: This is the main clinical manifestation of breast hyperplasia. About 80% of breast hyperplasia cases have varying degrees of breast pain, often accompanied by swelling or stabbing pain, which often radiates to the armpits, shoulders, and back. Pain is often influenced by factors such as menstrual cycle, emotions, weather changes, etc., such as worsening before menstruation and reducing or disappearing after menstruation.

2. Breast lumps: Single or multiple lumps of varying sizes, irregular shapes, non hard texture, and good mobility can be felt inside the breast. Breast lumps also have the characteristic of changing with the menstrual cycle, with the lump increasing and hardening before menstruation, and shrinking and softening after menstruation.

3. Nipple discharge: A small number of patients may experience nipple discharge, which is spontaneous and presents as a yellow green, brown, or colorless serous substance. It is more common in women of childbearing age.

3、 How to prevent breast hyperplasia?

1. Avoid early marriage and pregnancy, and promote breastfeeding. Pregnancy and breastfeeding have a natural physiological regulation on breast function, while older unmarried, childless, or lactating women are more prone to breast hyperplasia.

2. Reduce the use of hair dye. Hair dyes often contain carcinogenic substances such as lead, which pose a potential risk of cancer. Long term use can lead to chronic accumulation of toxins, which may eventually promote the occurrence of cancer.

3. Actively prevent and treat gynecological diseases. The female reproductive system and breast are equally controlled regions of the brain. Often, most patients with gynecological diseases also have breast hyperplasia and other diseases. Therefore, actively preventing and treating gynecological diseases is undoubtedly an important link in reducing the triggering factors of breast hyperplasia.

4. Strictly control the intake of fat. Adipose can be converted into estrogen in the body. Due to strict control of its intake, it is advisable to eat more foods containing complex vitamins, which is beneficial for the liver to inactivate estrogen.

5. Quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption. Smoking and alcohol are extremely acidic substances, and people who smoke and drink for a long time are prone to developing an acidic constitution.

6. Avoid using cosmetics containing estrogen. Cosmetics are essential for women in modern society. However, long-term use of cosmetics containing estrogen can make the skin "tender and smooth", but it can also lead to a relative increase in estrogen levels in the body. Over time, it can induce breast hyperplasia.

7. Maintain a relaxed and stable mood. The breast is an emotional organ that is easily influenced by emotions. If emotions are unstable, it can inhibit the ovulation function of the ovaries, resulting in a decrease in progesterone and an increase in estrogen, leading to breast hyperplasia.

In short, female friends should have a regular lifestyle, quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption, read more books, be less angry, and maintain a happy mood! Eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and have regular check ups!
